Unique Sports Group are proud to share the news that Dwight McNeil has returned to the Premier League with Everton, signing a five-year deal.
The 22-year-old winger brings an end to his eight-year association with Burnley following their relegation to the Championship, sealing a £20m move to Goodison Park.
Across five Premier League seasons with the Clarets, Dwight made 147 appearances and established himself as a high work-rate creator at the heart of Burnley’s attack.
Dwight also earned 10 caps for England at Under-21 level and now moves to Everton to continue his development and remain at the highest level of English football.
Speaking after the move, Dwight said:
“Speaking to the manager about what they want going forward, it really excited me and appealed to me. I wanted to be part of it. He knows me as a player, as does [Director of Football] Kevin Thelwell. I want to work hard and do well for the team and for the fans.
“I feel playing under a manager like Frank Lampard, he will help me to get my stats up – and that is what I want to do and improve my game.
“I am a direct runner with the ball. I like to get on the ball, cut inside and create chances for the team.
“I want to help the team as best as I can, work hard and do the defensive side of the game, too.”
Everyone at Unique wishes Dwight the very best with his move to Merseyside.
