Marc Guehi has been called up to the England senior squad for the very first time.
England will face Switzerland and Ivory Coast at Wembley Stadium later this month and Gareth Southgate selected the 21-year-old Crystal Palace defender in his 25-man squad for March’s camp.
Marc has enjoyed an impressive debut season at Crystal Palace, stepping up into Premier League action after completing a permanent move from Chelsea after spending last season on loan at Championship side Swansea.
Marc has earned the trust and respect of all at Crystal Palace with his high-quality, committed displays and has even captained the Eagles in recent weeks.
Marc is joined in the squad by Reece James, with the Chelsea defender a regular selection for England boss Southgate. James, now 22, will be looking to build on the 10 caps he already has to his name.
Congratulations to Marc and to Reece on their call-ups.
