Finley Burns has signed a new long-term contract with Manchester City that will take him through to the summer of 2027.
The 18-year-old central defender, who made his senior City debut earlier this season, has been at the club for more than five years and was a key part of City’s Elite Development Squad which lifted the Premier League 2 title last term.
He has been in impressive form once again this season and has made 13 appearances to-date in PL2 as well as making five appearances in the UEFA Youth League campaign.
Finley’s progress was further recognised when he earned his first-team debut in September 2021, playing the full 90 minutes in City’s 6-1 Carabao Cup third round victory over Wycombe Wanderers.
He was also a member of the City side which lifted the FA Youth Cup in 2020 as well being part of the Under-18 Premier League North title-winning squad that same year.
Everybody at Unique wishes Finley the best for the years ahead.
