Isaac Hayden has completed a loan move to Norwich City ahead of the 2022/23 Championship season.
Hayden, 27, heads to Norfolk after making 171 appearances for Newcastle United across seven seasons, with experience of winning promotion with the Magpies in the 2016/17 season.
Isaac had been sidelined from Premier League action since Christmas, when he was left unregistered from Newcastle’s squad for the second half of the season following an unfortunate injury which forced him to undergo knee surgery in December.
The midfielder now seeks a return to regular first-team action with Dean Smith’s Canaries.
Speaking upon sealing his move to Carrow Road, Isaac said:
โI am absolutely delighted. This is a fantastic club. Everything is well run, it has got a good infrastructure and the stadium and the fan base is great.
โI am here to try to help the team get back to the Premier League. The facilities at the training ground are great and changed significantly from when I have visited before. Iโve also looked at our squad and I want to add to that and help get us promoted straight away.
โThe head coach was a big factor for me. He called me straight away and saw that I was out of the picture at Newcastle. I had spoken to him a few times before and he always struck me as somebody who was trying to do the right things and doing things very well at football clubs.”
Everybody at Unique wishes Isaac all the best for the new campaign.
